Palungtar municipality of Gorkha has formed a 7-member English subject committee under the chairmanship of Bhaikrishna Sunar, along with the good learning practice exchange program.
The committee was selected by the meeting of teachers teaching classes 4th to 12th at the municipal level held today in the municipal hall. Its vice president is Jyoti Dhital, secretary is Dr. Rabindra Kandel, joint secretary is Ishwor Devkota and treasurer is Sunita Poudel. Its members include Girija Ale and Dipsana Giri.
The program, which was held in the auditorium under the chief hospitality of city chief (mayor) Bibash Chintan, It was facilitated by Manoj Sirmal, head of education, youth and sports branch of Palungtar. He facilitated topics such as the appropriateness of the subject and the strategies to be taken in the coming days and the initiatives that can be taken to increase the educational quality, while resource teacher Santosh Pandey conducted the session.
Mayor Chintan said that the municipality is preparing to form a thematic committee of 5 mandatory subjects and to make these committees active and move forward with the aim of sharing the different new practices done by the schools within the municipality and making more efforts to improve the educational quality. According to this, a committee of Nepali subject has already been formed yesterday. Tomorrow a committee will be formed for science subject and later for mathmatics subject Sirmal informed.
